These are very sad news. Professor Wang was highly respected by the international astronomical community, in particular in the realm of the 

International Astronomical Union. He has been instrumental in fostering the development of large astronomical telescopes in the radio and optical 

ranges in China, and promoting international cooperation. He will be remembered by the SKA community.
